I was born in Bristol and have lived here all my life. I think this city is thriving, with a good design community and there many potential opportunities for employment and clients. I am 26 years old and from school went on to complete a degree in Quantity Surveying at the University of the West of England. Quantity Surveying is a good job which I have enjoyed for many years with a company called Gleeds. I live with my fiancee, Claire and we are due to be married this coming June after a long 10 year relationship since school. Throughout school my desire and drive to create pictures and art has never died and my studies/practice continued through my degree as a hobby and interest. Once my degree was finished I had more spare time to experiment with new media and self-taught myself many programs such as Photoshop & Dreamweaver. I had the thirst and decided to find a course to offer myself more knowledge on not only using more programs features and new programs, but to also include a curriculum which involves design principles. My experience up to this point had been mostly graphic design advertising media and some website building with a few commissions to build on a portfolio. I finally chose a course and enrolled on Interactive Multimedia with Graphic Design at the City of Bristol College. The course offers a diverse yet in depth teaching of what I wanted to learn and is going well at present. I have a couple of different hobbies which also keep me busy in my spare time. The first is cars, I was born with petrol running through my viens and can often be found tinkering with my car, a Honda Prelude, or on the dragstrip with a few japanese car clubs I am member to. The other is riding a BMX! Some say I'm too old but if it still feels good, then why stop? I have rode for 10 years and have loved every minute of it and will continue to so...for now. I hope you enjoy my site and it's content. Please feel free to contact me regarding anything. |
